Mandi is a contemporary author living in the Pacific Northwest. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in business administration. Most days you can find her sitting on her patio, reading her favorite authors, watching Housewives of Beverly Hills, or drinking a chai tea. Hot or cold, both are delish.

Her current novel combines local politics with family drama, in a quaint, lakeside resort town. This novel is a 2021 1st place winner at the Pacific Northwest Writers’ Association (PNWA) contest in the Romance/Women’s Fiction category. It is also a 2021 2nd place winner in the Rudy Writing Contest with the Chesapeake Romance Writers, and a finalist in for The Emily with the League of Romance Writers. Even with this recognition, she’s still struggling to find the perfect agent.

Lyssa began her writing career in her 50's, proving it's never too late to be what you might have been.

As a flight attendant in the midst of 9/11, Jana found writing to almost be a form of "free therapy sessions." Fast forward years later, Jana still loves creating stories... especially if they give her readers a smile.
Or better yet, a snort-laugh.

One of her children's early chapter book series, THE PUPPY TOOTH FAIRY, won 2nd place in the PNWA 2020 Conference.
She also wrote as a humor columnist, published in The Reporter, and in the weekend edition of the Miami Herald for eight years where she became the queen of deadlines.
